The Blog is Back!


After a short hiatus, the blog is back. If this is your first visit to the blog, Welcome! If you have read some posts over the years, Welcome back. Either way, I’m glad you’re here.

If you are reading this, it is highly likely that you are an athlete. You work hard, you play hard, and you are ready to take your training to the next level. You are in the right place.

For those who don’t know me, I am Coach DJ Taylor, and my goal is to Elevate the Athlete. I am a former collegiate athlete (four-year starter at linebacker and team captain at Carson-Newman College) and now am Head Strength and Speed Coach at D1 Birmingham. I strive to support people in attaining their desired outcomes, from youth athletes to professional athletes to individuals pursuing long-term health and fitness goals. 

 To that end, this blog will be a place where you can get motivated, read interviews with other coaches and athletes, discover exercises to reach your goals, learn about new recipes and meal plans, and so much more to help you be the best you can be. You can expect a new post once a week on Fridays. 

 And it’s not just the blog -- I have a few other exciting things in the works: 

-      I host a podcast where I interview successful coaches and athletes to find out how they got started and how they reach their goals. I try to post once a month. You don’t want to miss this!

-      In the next few weeks I’m launching a newsletter so you can get tips, inspiration, and much more directly in your email inbox. Stay tuned!
